教学过程：

Step  1  Free talk and lead in

1. Greetings

  What day is it today? Is it the first day of the new term? Are we all here today? Who is not at school? Who’s absent today? And why?

2. Look and read the phonetic symbols.

Step  2  Presentation and practice

1. Look at the pictures and say what they are doing?

2. (Talk about the pictures of Part B one by one)What is he/she doing? What does he/she like doing?

3. Look, read and learn: take photos, go shopping, collect stamps, grow flowers, make model ships, make clothes

4. Look, the boy is taking photos. He likes taking photos, I think. His hobby is taking photos. Right? Do you have any hobbies?

5. Look, read and learn: Hobby, hobbies, Do you have any hobbies?

6. Drill. A: Do you have any hobbies?  B: Yes, I do. I like ... He/ She likes ...(doing sth.)

7. Work in pairs.

8. Summary.  like doing sth.喜欢做某事 he /she  当主语是第三人称单数时，动词要用动词的第三人称单数形式。

9. Miss Chen likes growing flowers very much. There is a small garden in my house and there are a lot of flowers and trees in it. They are very beautiful. Do you like growing flowers, and do you grow flowers? (教育学生从小就要培养良好的兴趣爱好，特别是要爱护周围的花草树木，多栽花种草，为我们的世界贡献一份绿。)
